direct beach access, complimentary bicycle rentals, beautiful promenade for walks
Rooms could use some basic decor!!! Noise disturbances came from neighboring rooms, which really affected sleep quality!!! Parking was awkward and expensive!!!

Hotel position in front of the beach was delightful. Very pleasant breakfast room and good selection of hot and cold choicesThere was an excellent walk along the sea wall. There is also a metro train that takes you into Bilbao city which is accessible from Algorta town centre, another pleasant walk either up the steep slope or take the lift. Lots of restaurants but either an understanding of Spanish or a phrase book is essential
Sometimes an unpleasant toilet smell around the reception/groundfloor toilet area. We had the apartment for 4 adults which was very well set out but tight for space and the bathroom door does not meet top or bottom! So showers and toilet flushes are quite noisy. Also no view out the window as just walls. More suitable for a family of 4 as one double bed and bunk beds (which squeak).

The location is beautifully situated on the beach front with
Immediate access to the promenade. The breakfast offered an really good variety, with plenty of healthy choices. Staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. My room was a bit small and faced the back, lacking a view. A good visit.

Very modern hotel. Spotlessly clean. Laptop with free wi-fi in each room. On the beach. First-class housekeeping on a daily basis.

The modern rooms are immaculate, with an excellent shower that makes you feel refreshed. The location along the seafront offers fantastic promenade walks that are particularly popular with locals.
Sound insulation needs improvement. I could hear talking in the hallways and snoring from neighboring rooms. The breakfast area had only a couple of functioning coffee machines, slow and caused long queues. Accommodating pets could be more efficient with more tables set aside for them during breakfast.

good breakfast
bad smell in the room; stuff is not service oriented: when you ask them something their first reply is that you can find this information on the internet. I made a mistake on checkout I gave them the wrong credit card. to cancel the transaction and fix it lasted ages (after a walk to the beach and 90 min ! it was not done)

Nice hotel, located at the beach. Rooms were ok. Restaurants nearby. Bilbao can be easily reached by metro.
We had a large balcony but there were'nt any chairs !

My honest journey to loving (or hating) this
Great beach location with friendly staff. The views from the breakfast room are lovely, and the comfortable balcony provided a perfect spot to unwind.
Noise disturbances were noticeable, especially from closing doors nearby. Some rooms experienced issues with ventilation, leading to uncomfortable warmth.

Convenient for Bilbao port, and fairly close to the metro station to get into the city. Comfortable place for a stop over. Directly overlooks the beach (not the most picturesque, with views over the docks, but not bad despite that). Free internet access, with an old laptop provided (running a limited linux-based OS but fine for web browsing etc), is a nice touch.
Some minor issues with our family room. The top bunk looked a bit too easy to fall out of for our kids; the bathroom leaked (we think from somewhere outside, there was heavy rain when we arrived), although we chose not to move rooms, when this was immediately offered.

I love the ecclectic concept of the hotel. Different from any other place I've stayed.

Just spent 4 nights at Petit Palace and loved it! The breakfast spread was great, fresh fruits and tasty hot items galore. Plus, the beach view from my room was fine. Only downside? Parking was a bit awkward. Still, I'd return!

We liked the rooms, the balcony overlooking the beach, the free bicycle hire, the staff and the location. Having computers in each room was great!
Breakfast was excellent except for the cooked items. The rest was so good that it didnt make a difference!
